Reasons not to play EVE Online It’s played by a thriving community of elitist jerks. It’s popularly described by it’s detractors as ‘Microsoft Excel: The Game’. The experience of starting EVE Online was recently described by one of its lead designers as ‘Welcome to EVE, here’s a rubix cube, now go ^&%$ yourself.’ Reason why I’ve logged back in yet again. I get to be a spaceship captain.
